Crispy lightly salted cucumbers without vinegar: we tell you what to add for a bright taste
Cucumbers are very budget-friendly, tasty and healthy vegetables that can be used to make not only salads, but also drinks and preserves for the winter. They are also salted, pickled, fermented, and made into spicy salads.
On Instagram, chef Oleksandr Hromliuk shared a recipe for delicious lightly salted cucumbers with chili peppers, lemon, and parsley, which are very quick to prepare and would be an ideal snack.
Ingredients:
- Cucumbers - 1 kg
- Chili peppers - 10 g
- Parsley - 10 g
- Lemon - 1 pc.
- Garlic - 5 cloves.
- Salt/pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the cucumbers and better yet, soak them in water for 1 hour to make them crispy.
2. Cut them lengthwise and place in a bowl.
3. Chop the garlic and chili pepper and add to the cucumbers.
4. Season with lemon juice, salt and pepper, mix and leave in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
