Homemade bagels are the best homemade pastries for tea, coffee, and cocoa. They can be made from puff pastry and yeast dough. Berries, nuts, chocolate, raisins, and poppy seeds can be used for the filling.

The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious, flavorful homemade bagels, the dough for which is made with milk.

Ingredients:

  • 125 ml of milk
  • 50 g of live yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp of sugar
  • 0.5 tsp of salt
  • 10 g of vanilla sugar
  • 125 g of butter/margarine
  • 400 g of flour
  • 400 g of poppy seeds/jam or condensed boiled milk
  • oil and sugar for crisping

Method of preparation:

1. Add salt, sugar, vanilla sugar, egg, melted butter, yeast, and flour to the warm milk, and knead the dough.

2. Immediately roll out the dough into a layer and cut it into triangles.

3. Put the filling on the bottom of the triangle and roll the bagels (similar to croissants). Dip each bagel additionally in butter and sugar with poppy seeds, and place on a baking sheet.

4. In a preheated oven, bake the bagels in advance for only 10 minutes at 190 degrees and 10 minutes at 180 degrees.
