Homemade bagels are the perfect homemade pastries that can be a great alternative to pies, buns, and cakes. You can make them with different fillings, the most important thing is to make a good dough.
The cook shared a recipe for delicious, crispy bagels with poppy seed filling on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 375 g of flour
- 7 g of baking powder
- 150 g of butter
- 1 egg
- 70 g of powdered sugar
- 70 ml. milk
Filling:
- poppy seed filling – 250 g (sold ready-made)
- powdered sugar
Method of preparation:
1. Beat the butter with the powdered sugar until fluffy, add the egg, mix, add the milk, and flour, along with the baking powder, and knead until you get a smooth dough that does not stick to your hands.
2. Divide the dough into 3 parts and form a ball, roll it into a circle, and cut the circle into 16 pieces, put the filling, and roll the bagels.
3. Place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 175 C and bake for about 20 minutes, making sure that the bagels do not turn brown.
Cool down the bagels and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
