Crispy bagels with jam for tea: a recipe for budget pastries that taste better than a pie
Homemade bagels can be a great alternative to buns, pies, cakes, and casseroles. You can make them with different fillings, but the main thing is to make the right dough, which completely determines the taste and structure of the pastry.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for very crispy and delicious bagels with jam, the base of which is made with sour cream.
Ingredients:
- flour - 280 g
- egg - 1 pc.
- butter - 80 g
- sour cream - 120 g
- baking powder - 1 tsp.
- salt - 1/2 tsp.
- sugar - 60-70 g
- vanillin
The filling:
- Any jam
Method of preparation:
1. To prepare the dough, sift the flour, add baking powder, vanilla, salt and sugar. Mix everything, add the chopped cold butter and rub it into crumbs with your hands.
2. Add the egg and sour cream to the crumbs and knead the dough, then put it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
3. Roll out and cut the dough, put the filling, wrap, put the bagels on parchment and bake for 25-30 minutes at 180 C.
Sprinkle the finished bagels with powdered sugar.
