Crispy and sweet pickled cabbage: how to cook the right way
Every housewife has pickles for the winter on her shelf. And among all the variety, cabbage occupies a special place there. This appetizer will surprise you not only with its taste, but also with its bright and spectacular presentation.
Food blogger Olha (podomashnemutut) shared a recipe for pickled cabbage for the winter on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- cabbage - 2 kg
- horseradish root - 10 pcs
- beets - 5 pcs
- carrots - 3 pcs
- carrots - 3 pcs
- garlic - 4-5 heads
Marinade:
- water - 2 liters
- salt - 4 tbsp
- sugar - 10 tbsp
- vinegar - 2 glasses
- peppercorns
Method of preparation:
1. First, beat horseradish, beets, carrots and garlic in a blender.
2. Slice the cabbage.
3. At this stage, make the marinade. To do this, mix all the necessary ingredients and bring them to a boil.
4. Put the chopped vegetables and cabbage in a bucket or jar one by one.
5. Pour the marinade over the cabbage and close with a lid. Leave in a cold place. The cabbage will be ready to eat in a week.
