Crispy, flavorful, and spicy – these are the chips we are used to buying in stores. But these snacks contain a lot of chemicals. In addition, their price is also quite high. Therefore, it is worth using a more affordable and much healthier alternative and making crispy and delicious chips from ordinary pita bread.

The idea of making homemade pita chips was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Irina (ira.shaf_cooking).

Ingredients:

  • large pita bread – 1 pc
  • oil (preferably olive) – 30 ml
  • paprika – 1 tsp
  • dried garlic – 0.5 tsp
  • spice mix – optional
  • apple cider vinegar – 1 tbsp (lemon juice or balsamic vinegar can be used)
  • salt – to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Mix all the ingredients, apply the mixture with a silicone brush on the pita bread.

2. Cut the pita bread into small triangles or other shapes.

3. Put in the oven preheated to 200 degrees (convection mode) for 3-5 minutes. The chips should not burn.

4. Remove from the oven, cool, store in an airtight, dry container.
