Couscous with vegetables that doesn't need to be cooked: how to cook cereal quickly
When cooked properly, couscous tastes very unusual, goes well with vegetables and sauces, and makes a perfect side dish. It is not necessary to cook the cereal, which is very convenient when there is no electricity or gas.
Food blogger Maxim with the nickname nekuhar shared a recipe for couscous with vegetables on his Instagram page, which does not need to be cooked.
Ingredients:
- couscous - 80 g
- cucumber - 1\2 pieces
- bell pepper
- blue onion
- olive oil
- salt
Method of preparation:
1. Pour the cereal into a bowl, and add salt and boiling water so that the water completely covers the cereal. Cover with a plate or lid and leave the cereal for 5-8 minutes to steam.
2. Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables and cut them into cubes.
3. Mix the cooked porridge with vegetables.
4. Drizzle the dish with oil.
