Churros in a frying pan: how to prepare crispy donuts without baking
Churros are popular Spanish donuts that are fried in a pan. They are made from shortcrust custard dough, which makes them very crispy on the outside. They are delicious topped with condensed milk or sprinkled with powdered sugar.
The recipe for churros was shared on one of the culinary blogs (baba_z_jajem) on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- flour - 320 g
- water - 500 ml
- butter - 100 g
- eggs - 6 pcs
- salt - a pinch
Method of preparation:
1. Bring water with salt and butter to a boil.
2. Remove from heat and add flour. Knead the dough until it starts to lag behind the walls of the pan. Cool it down.
3. Meanwhile, beat eggs and add them to the chilled dough.
4. Squeeze the resulting mass into the shape of round donuts using a pastry bag.
5. Fry in a large amount of oil.
6. Pour the glaze over them if desired.
