Chocolate honey cake: how to make a popular dessert in an unusual way
Honey cake is a taste that comes from childhood. This dessert is usually made from butter and honey-based dough. But to diversify the taste of this pastry, you can add bright chocolate notes.
The idea of making chocolate honey cake was published on the Instagram page of pastry chef Yulia Lutsenko (ju__lu).
Ingredients:
- flour - 450 g
- eggs - 3 pcs
- sugar - 200 g
- honey - 3 tbsp
- cocoa - 40 g
- butter - 120 g
- baking soda - 1.5 tsp
Method of preparation:
1. Mix sugar with eggs.
2. Add honey, cocoa, and butter, and mix well.
3. Pour milk into a saucepan and put on low heat.
4. Pour the hot milk into the mixture, stir, and return to the saucepan, cook over low heat.
5. Bring to a hot state, but do not boil.
6. Remove from heat, add baking soda and stir.
7. Add flour and knead the dough. It should be soft and slightly sticky.
8. Wrap in cling film and put in the refrigerator for an hour.
9. Take out and divide the dough into 10-12 pieces, roll out the cake on parchment, and sprinkle with flour a little.
10. Cut a circle with a diameter of 20 cm.
11. Make punctures with a fork and put in the oven at 180 degrees for 5 minutes.
12. Also form cakes from the scraps, the rest can be used to sprinkle the cake, after grinding them in a blender.
13. Let the cakes cool down.
14. Prepare your favorite cream, spread it over the cakes, and let it soak in.
