Who doesn't love delicious, flavorful chocolate cakes, and homemade ones at that. But usually, not everyone knows how to make these delicacies so that everything turns out well and very tasty.

On her YouTube channel, Masters Chef judge and culinary expert Liza Hlinska shared a delicious recipe for a chocolate cherry pie that will definitely work (to watch the video, scroll to the end).

Chocolate cherry pie


For the sponge cake:

  • flour - 150 g
  • yolks - 40 g
  • eggs - 300 g (6 pcs.)
  • sugar - 150 g
  • cocoa powder - 30 g


  • pitted cherries - 400 g
  • condensed milk - 100 g
  • butter - 100 g
  • dark chocolate - 150 g
  • cherry liqueur - 100 ml

Method of preparation:

  1. Beat the eggs, yolks, and sugar until they are as fluffy as possible.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and cocoa and add them very gently to the egg mixture through a sieve.
  3. Put parchment in a baking dish, grease it with oil, and pour the batter in.
  4. Put it in the oven for 30-35 minutes at 160 degrees. Then take the sponge cake out and let it cool completely.
  5. Filling: combine chocolate, condensed milk, butter, and liqueur in a bowl, and microwave for 1 minute to melt everything well.
  6. Cut off the top of the cooled sponge cake, put the bottom part into a mold, pick out the middle with your hands, and crush it with your hands.
  7. Take out the melted chocolate, add the cherries, mix, add the biscuit crumbs, mix everything well, and put this filling in the cake.
  8. Cover the top with the cut off top, press down well, and refrigerate for 6-8 hours.

The finished cake can be drizzled with chocolate icing - this is optional.
