Chocolate bars without sugar and flour: how to make a healthy snack in minutes

These bars will be a delicious and healthy snack if you need to eat quickly and have little time. They do not contain sugar, flour, or any preservatives because they are made at home. All ingredients are natural and can be found in any store, so you can be sure of the quality of this superfood.

The idea for the healthy bars was posted by inna_levenets on her Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • large dates - 10 pcs.
  • any syrup - 100 ml
  • honey - 1 tbsp. spoon
  • chia seeds - 1 tbsp. 
  • chopped flax seeds - 1 tbsp
  • salt
  • oatmeal or crushed rice - 140 g
  • pistachios - 100 g
  • raisins -100 g
  • dried cherries - 50 g
  • dark chocolate - 1 tsp
  • coconut oil

Method of preparation:

1. Pour boiling water over the dates, and leave for 30 minutes – they should become soft.

2. Pit the dates, peel them, and grind them in a blender with syrup, chia, flax seeds, and a pinch of salt. Add nuts, puffed rice or oatmeal, raisins, and cherries to the mixture and mix well.

3. Next, you can form balls or press them into a rectangular or square silicone mold. Put them in the freezer for 30 minutes.

4. Melt the chocolate with coconut oil in a water bath, and pour the well-frozen bar on top. If these are balls, dip them in chocolate.

5. Let stand at room temperature, then place in the refrigerator until the chocolate is completely set.
