Ingredients for an oatmeal crumble for a d22cm mold:

  • Flour - 80 gr
  • Instant oatmeal - 80 g
  • Sugar - 80 gr
  • Walnuts - 80 gr
  • Butter - 130 g

Ingredients for the filling:

  • Pitted cherries - 400 g
  • Water or cherry juice - 100 ml
  • Sugar - 100 g
  • Corn starch - 40 g

Method of preparation:

1. First, prepare the crumble. Fry the walnuts for 10-15 minutes in a preheated oven to 170 degrees.

2. Mix the frozen butter with the flour.

3. Add oatmeal and sugar. Mix well.

4. Chop the nuts into small pieces and add to the crumble.

5. Cover the bottom of the baking dish with parchment and grease the sides with butter. Put half of the crumble in the mold and put it in the oven for 10-12 minutes at 170 degrees.

6. Put the other half of the crumble in the freezer.

7. Prepare the filling. Put the cherries and sugar in a saucepan.

8. Mix the starch with water and add to the cherries.

9. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil. Keep on the heat for another 30-40 seconds and remove from the stove.

10. Form the pie. Pour the filling into the mold with the baked crumble.

11. Put the second part of the crumble on top and put it in the oven at 170 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

12. Remove from the mold only after it has cooled completely.
