Cherry liqueur "33 leaves": how to make at home
Cherries are not only a filling for various pastries or dumplings, but also the basis for a delicious liqueur. It is this berry that is most often chosen for such a drink, because it is very juicy, with a pleasant sourness and natural sweetness. And for a bright, pleasant flavor, you can add not only the fruit but also the leaves.
The idea of making homemade cherry liqueur was published on the Instagram page of Ukrainian chef Lilia Tsvit(lilijatsvit).
Ingredients:
- cherries - 1 liter
- cherry leaves - 33 pcs
- sugar - 120-150 g
- water - 1 liter
- citric acid - 0.5 tsp
- vodka - 300 ml
Method of preparation:
1. Rinse the cherries.
2. Add cherry leaves, sugar, citric acid and cover with water.
3. Put it on a small fire to cook.
4. From the moment of boiling, cook for 30 minutes.
5. Remove from heat, cover with a lid.
6. Leave to cool completely.
7. Then strain the liquid through a sieve.
8. Add the vodka and pour into a glass dish.
9. Store in a cool, dark place.
