Cherry buns with milk: how to make successful homemade pastries
Soft, airy, with a juicy cherry filling and sweet sugar sprinkles – isn't this the perfect homemade pastry? Moreover, it is extremely easy to make such a dessert, the process and work with the dough are not difficult. The cherry buns are based on yeast dough with milk, which does not need to be kneaded and infused for a long time.

Ingredients:
Dough:
- milk - 500 ml
- sugar - 6 tbsp
- fresh yeast - 40 g
- vegetable oil - 100 ml
- eggs - 4 pcs + 1 for lubrication
- flour - 700 g
- salt - 0.5 tsp
- vanilla
Filling:
- Fresh cherries - 1 kg
Sprinkle (Streusel):
- butter - 30 g
- sugar - 100 g
- flour - 100 g
- vanilla
Method of preparation:
1. To prepare the dough, mix the yeast, 100 ml of milk and 2 tbsp of flour. Stir and leave for 20 minutes.
2. Add the rest of the milk, and beaten eggs with sugar, salt, and flour to the prepared dough. Knead the dough.
3. Add the oil and knead for another 10 minutes. Cover with a towel and leave for 1 hour.
4. Put the dough on a floured work surface, lightly knead it, and roll it into a 1-centimeter thick circle. Cut into squares 5 x 5 centimeters.
5. Put 5-6 cherries and 1 tsp of sugar in each square. Form the sides of the dough.
6. Put the pies on a baking sheet covered with parchment. Cover with a towel and leave for 20 minutes.
7. Brush with egg and sprinkle with sprinkles.
8. Bake at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
