Charlotte cake with cherries: how to make a popular dessert in a new way
Traditional Charlotte cake is usually made with apples. But in summer, there is a wide variety of seasonal fruits and berries available. They can be a great filling option for a popular dessert. The cake is especially delicious with cherries.
The idea of making Charlotte cake with cherries was published on the Instagram page of blogger Olexandra (_book.ashka_).
Ingredients:
- eggs – 4 pcs.
- flour – 200 g
- sugar – 200 g
- vanilla – 1 pack
- pitted cherries – 200-300 g
- butter or margarine for greasing the mold
Method of preparation:
1. Beat eggs with sugar until smooth.
2. Add vanilla and flour to the whipped mixture. Beat again until smooth.
3. Grease a baking dish with butter or margarine.
4. Pour about ¼ of the dough into the mold.
5. Put cherries all over the mold.
6. Pour the rest of the dough over the top.
7. Put the mold in a preheated oven.
8. Bake at 180 degrees until fully cooked.
