Plums can be used to make many dishes and preserves for the winter, but traditional recipes usually include sugar. This is problematic for those people who do not consume it for some reason. Today, FoodOboz editorial team shares a selection of sugar-free plum preserves.

Ingredients:

  • Pitted plums - 1400 g
  • Water - 210 ml

Method of preparation:

  1. Rinse the plums, cut them into several pieces, and remove the pit. Put the pieces in a saucepan, and pour boiled water at the rate of 150 ml of liquid per 1 kg of pitted plums. Bring to a boil. Continue cooking for half an hour over low heat. Then cool it down.
  2. Rub the cold porridge through a sieve or grind in a meat grinder. Pour the mashed potatoes into a saucepan, bring to a boil, and simmer for 5 minutes. Pour the hot, ready-made puree into sterile jars, roll up the lids, and wrap them until they cool completely.

Ingredients:

  • Plums - 2300 g
  • Water - 330 ml

Method of preparation:

  1. Cut the plums into quarters, removing the pits. Pour the sliced plums into a saucepan, and cover with water.
  2. Cook over medium heat until the water is reduced by half.
  3. Prepare the jars: pour boiling water over them or sterilize them in the oven or on a steamer. The jam is ready when it does not spread on a spoon.
  4. Pour the jam into jars and roll up the lids.

  • Yellow plums - 2.5 kg

Method of preparation:

  1. Remove the stems and rinse the berries. Use a toothpick to make punctures in the plums and put them in an enamel bowl. After a few hours, when the fruit gives off juice, bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Then cool the jam and boil it again. Repeat this procedure 2 more times.
  2. Put the hot jam into clean jars and roll it up. Cover with a blanket until it cools completely.

Ingredients:

  • Plums - 3 kg

Method of preparation:

  1. Cut the clean fruit into several pieces, heat in an aluminum dish to 70 degrees over medium heat, and leave to cool for 20 minutes. After that, put the fruit mass in cheesecloth, hang it over a dish into which the juice will drain.
  2. Pour the juice into jars and sterilize for half an hour. Close the containers with lids and put them in a dark place with a blanket.

Ingredients:

  • Plums - 1 kg
  • Linden or flower honey - 250 g
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Cloves - 5 pcs
  • Vanilla - 1 pod

Method of preparation:

  1. Put the washed fruits in sterile jars. Cook the remaining ingredients over low heat for 25 minutes. Pour the prepared marinade over the fruit and roll up the lids.
  2. It is recommended to store this preparation in a cool place to avoid the jars from exploding.

  • Plums - 1400 g
  • Water - 2 liters

Method of preparation:

  1. Rinse the jars with baking soda.
  2. Put the washed fruit in a colander and put it in boiling water for 5-8 seconds. Put the plums in jars and cover with lids.
  3. Put a towel on the bottom of a wide saucepan, put the jars in, and pour in plain water, not to the brim. Sterilize the compote for 20 minutes, then carefully remove the glassware from the pan and roll up the lids.
