Candied zucchini is a non-standard, but very tasty preparation. The cooking process itself is quite time-consuming, but it is really worth it. Zucchini dessert can be eaten instead of store-bought candy, and added to baked goods and other various delicacies.
Food blogger Juliia (fermerka.ua) shared a recipe for delicious candied zucchini on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- zucchini
- sugar (for 1 kg of zucchini 200 g of sugar)
- juice of 1 lemon
Method of preparation:
1. Peel and core the zucchini. Cut the zucchini into cubes.
2. Cover the zucchini with sugar. Leave for 30 minutes.
3. Squeeze the lemon juice into the zucchini. Put on fire and bring to a boil. Cook over low heat for an hour. Then cool completely.
4. Dry the zucchini in the dryer for 2 hours or in the oven for 6 hours at 60 degrees.
