Cabbage rolls with vegetable roast and broth: turn out juicy and soft
Cabbage rolls are a hearty, tasty and easy dish to prepare. They can be cooked without cabbage or meat. They are often made lazy, namely with chopped cabbage. And if you don't like white cabbage, you can replace it with Chinese cabbage. The dish will be juicy and will be ready faster.
Food blogger Svitlana Levytska shared a recipe for delicious, juicy, soft cabbage rolls with fried meat and broth on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- cabbage - 1 pc
- rice - 200 g
- minced meat - 700 g
- carrots - 1 pc
- onion - 1 pc
- oil - 2 tbsp
- tomato paste - 100 g
- sour cream - 100 g
- water or broth - 100 ml
- salt, pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Boil the cabbage in boiling water and cut off the rough part.
2. Boil the rice.
3. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater and dice the onion. Heat a frying pan and fry the onions and carrots until golden brown. At the end, add the tomato paste and sour cream.
4. Mix the minced meat, rice, half of the roast, salt and pepper to taste. Put the filling on the cabbage and wrap it so that it does not fall out. Put the cabbage rolls in a saucepan, put a layer of roast, then cabbage rolls again and cover with water or broth.
Ready-made cabbage rolls are best served hot and with sour cream!
