Buttery pies with jam and poppy seeds: a recipe for the perfect dough
Pies are a delicious bakery product, and the most important thing in making them is to make a good dough, as the taste of the pies depends on it. As for the fillings, they can be made to suit every taste, both sweet and savory.
Cook Liliia shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious, buttery pies with jam that you can make very quickly and easily.
Ingredients:
The dough
- Milk – 300 ml
- Flour – 3 tbsp
- Yeast – 40-50 g
- Sugar – 2 tbsp
- Salt – a pinch
Dough:
- Eggs – 3-4 pcs.
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Sour cream – 1-2 tbsp.
- Butter – 60 g
- Salt – 1/4 tsp
- Vanilla – to taste
- Cinnamon – to taste
- Flour – 1 kg
Method of preparation:
1. Dough: mix all the ingredients and leave in a warm place for 30 minutes. The dough should foam well.
2. Then add the flour, eggs, sugar, sour cream, vanilla oil, cinnamon, mix well, and then knead the dough by hand.
3. Put the dough in a warm place for an hour. When the dough is well-risen, mix it and leave it for another 30 minutes.
4. Then grease the surface with vegetable oil and place the dough.
5. With oiled hands, form small portioned balls, cover with a dry towel, and leave for another 15 minutes.
6. Next, form the pies: put the filling on the bottom of each pie and roll it up.
7. Put the finished pies in a baking dish, cover with a towel, and leave to proof for about 30-40 minutes.
8. Then put the pies in a preheated oven to 160-170 C for about 45 minutes.
Brush the hot pies with water and sugar to make them glossy!
