Buns with cottage cheese and strawberries: when you don't want to knead the dough
Cottage cheese and strawberry buns are a delicious dessert option when you don't want to knead the dough. Juicy and incredibly flavorful, these buns are prepared in minutes and will surely appeal to everyone.
A food blogger with the nickname zhuravlina_cooking shared how to make buns with cottage cheese and strawberries on Instagram. She used ready-made puff pastry for the buns.
Ingredients for 8-9 pieces:
- Puff pastry - 500 gr
- Cottage cheese 5 or 9% - 160 g
- Cream cheese - 175 gr
- Powdered sugar - 5-6 tbsp
- Strawberries - 10-12 pcs
- Egg yolk - 1 pc
Method of preparation:
1. To the cottage cheese add powdered sugar, vanilla sugar and beat with a blender until smooth.
2. Rinse the strawberries, pat dry with a towel and cut into slices. If the berry is very juicy, you can mix it with 1 tbsp of starch.
3. Puff pastry, do not roll out, cut into frames and place on parchment. Make cuts on top, as in the video, and put the curd mass (spread a little) and strawberries. Brush the edges of the dough with egg yolk.
4. Put in a preheated oven to 200 degrees for 20-22 minutes.
