Bulk cake with berries and without dough: we share the recipe for the perfect dessert for tea
Summer is the perfect time to make delicious, flavorful, simple berry pies on different doughs and even without it. Fruit, meat, and seafood can be used for the filling.
Cook Yulia Simonchuk shared on Instagram a recipe for a bulk berry pie that is very quick to prepare and will be the perfect addition to tea.
Ingredients:
- flour - 280 g
- butter - 180 g
- sugar - 140 g
- egg yolk - 2 pcs.
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 6 g
- vanilla sugar - 1 tsp.
- vinegar - 1 tsp.
The filling:
- strawberries - 600 g
- starch - 2 tbsp
- sugar - 50 g
Method of preparation:
1. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
2. Add the cold butter, diced or grated, in parts.
3. Rub the dough into crumbs with your hands.
4. Add the egg yolks and vinegar to the dough, and grind into crumbs again.
5. Divide the finished dough into 2 parts to make 2/3 of the crumbs for the base of the pie and 1/3 for the top layer.
6. Put parchment in the mold and spread the crumbs evenly.
7. Filling: cut strawberries into small pieces, sprinkle with sugar, add starch and mix.
8. Put the strawberries on the crumbs and sprinkle with the remaining crumbs.
9. Bake the cake for 45 minutes at 190 C.
Let the cake cool and cut into portions.
