Budget vegan cutlets: what seasonal vegetable to choose
To make tasty and juicy cutlets, it is not necessary to use meat. The products will be much more nutritious and dietary if made with zucchini. It will be not only tasty, but also budget-friendly.
The idea of making hearty and budget-friendly meatless cutlets was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Victoria with the nickname cook with me at_home. Although there is no bread in the frying mass, the products will not fall apart.
Ingredients for cutlets:
- boiled eggs - 5 pcs.
- cottage cheese - 60 g.
- zucchini - 1 pc.
- carrots - 1 pc.
- spices: pepper, salt - to taste
- egg - 1 pc.
- breadcrumbs - 4-5 tbsp.
Ingredients for breading:
- flour
- egg
- breadcrumbs
Method of preparation:
1. Mash the boiled eggs well.
2. Add finely grated hard cheese.
3. Add the grated and drained zucchini and carrots.
4. Add spices, raw egg, and breadcrumbs.
5. Mix until smooth.
6. Form the cutlets.
7. Dip in the following order: flour, then beaten egg, and finally breadcrumbs. Fry in oil on both sides over low heat until golden brown.
