Budget homemade elderberry champagne: how to make it right
If you want to make delicious homemade champagne, elderberries are the perfect product for this. It is worth noting that elderberries do not need to be washed before cooking.
The cook shared a recipe for delicious champagne made from elderberry blossoms on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- water 10 liters
- elderberry inflorescences 20 (medium) pieces
- sugar 3 cups (250 ml)
- citric acid 20 g
Method of preparation:
1. Do not wash the elderberries, but clean them from pests, put them in a container and cover with water.
2. Add the sugar and citric acid, stir until dissolved, cover and put in a warm, dark place for 4-5 days.
3. After that, strain through a sieve and pour into bottles without filling up to about 4 fingers, release excess air and screw the bottles. Put them horizontally in a dark, cool place for 2-3 months.
