Bright and beautiful potato nests: a dish you can make from yesterday's mashed potatoes
Potato nests are a basic dish made of simple and affordable ingredients. At the same time, it looks very beautiful, and literally makes you taste it.
Food expert Svitlana Levitska explained how to cook potato nests properly on Instagram. She also states that the nests can be made from leftover mashed potatoes from yesterday.
Ingredients for the nests
- Mashed potatoes - 1 kg
- Herbs - a bunch
- Salt
- Pepper
Ingredients for stuffing
- Onion - 1 pc
- Carrots - 1 pc
- Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc
- Tomatoes - 1 pc
- Paprika - 1 tsp.
- Oregano - 1 tsp.
- Salt
- Pepper
Additional ingredients
- Mozzarella - 200 gr
Preparation method
1.Mix mashed potatoes with herbs, salt, pepper, form nests, lay out on parchment.
2. Dry in the oven for 10 minutes at 200 degrees.
3. Dice all the vegetables. Stew onions until transparent, add carrots, bell peppers and tomatoes.
4. Stew until moisture evaporates, add spices, heat through, add minced meat. Simmer until minced meat changes color.
5. We put the stuffing in the nests, sprinkle with grated cheese and send to the heated to 180 degrees Celsius oven for 15 minutes.
