Summer is a great time to unload your brain. A variety of drinks that enrich the body with energy and nutrients are suitable for this purpose. They are based on berries, herbs, and other healthy ingredients.

The idea for the Brain Youth cocktail was shared by renowned Ukrainian nutritionist Oksana Skytalinska (dr.skytalinska) on her Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • raw egg yolk (wash fresh chicken eggs with soap and water)
  • milk (goat, vegetable, cow) or kefir
  • berries (preferably different)
  • mint leaves

You can also add:

  • a teaspoon of ground flaxseed – has a neuroprotective effect, and improves the condition of capillaries
  • ginkgo leaf
  • a teaspoon of lecithin powder

Method of preparation:

1. Put ice on the bottom of the glass, and then pour the egg yolk beaten with milk and berries.

2. Make three layers: the bottom one with mulberries, currants, and red currants, the middle one with strawberries, and the top one with egg yolk and milk.

3. You can add half a teaspoon of sugar.

Why is this cocktail useful?

1. The yolk is rich in polyunsaturated fats, which have anti-inflammatory and antithrombotic properties.

2. There is some healthy cholesterol (about 1.6%), which ensures the normal functioning of nerve cells and nerve fibers.
