Bird's Nests Easter cookies: made with a garlic press
"Bird's Nests are an original cookie that can be made for Easter. All you need to do is squeeze the chocolate dough through a garlic press. The resulting strips will make a very aesthetic nest.
The idea of making Bird's Nests cookies was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Mariana Zhuk (_marianaa._zhuk). You can choose any nuts for decoration.
Ingredients:
- flour – 220 g
- powdered sugar – 90 g
- cocoa – 25 g
- baking powder – 6 g
- salt – a pinch
- butter – 140 g
- egg – 1 pc.
Optional:
- milk chocolate
- nuts
Method of preparation:
1. Combine all dry ingredients: flour, icing sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
2. Add the cold butter and cut until crumbs form.
3. Add the egg and knead the dough.
4. Shape the dough into balls and place in the freezer for 30 minutes.
5. Take out the balls and use a garlic press to form biscuits.
6. Bake at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
7. When the cookies have cooled, pour chocolate in the middle and put nuts.
