Better than Korean-style carrots: recipe for a spicy vegetable salad
To diversify the holiday menu and add spice, Korean-style carrots are usually prepared. However, this takes a lot of time because the dish needs to be pickled. Therefore, it is worth using a much simpler and more interesting salad idea. It contains a traditional set of vegetables, including carrots, and a spectacular dressing that will make the dish truly exquisite.
The idea for the spicy carrot salad was shared by Odesa-based chef Valeriy (ponomar_valeriy) on his Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- cucumber - 1 pc.
- bell pepper - 1/2 pc.
- tomato - 2 pcs.
- carrot -1/2 pcs.
Optionally, add green onions, parsley, dill, basil, and hot pepper.
Ingredients for the dressing:
- garlic - 1 clove
- olive oil - 2 tbsp
- soy sauce - 1.5 tbsp
- ground black pepper
- lemon juice - 1 tsp.
- sugar - 1/2 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the vegetables into equal pieces.
2. Salt the carrots a little and crush them with your hands to make them soft.
3. Mix with the dressing and let it soak for 10 minutes.
