Beetroot salad for the winter: unusually tasty preservation
Here is a recipe for a winter beetroot salad. As a result of some simple manipulations, you will have an unusually tasty dish that is also ideal as an appetizer and dressing for borscht.
Food blogger Maria Makarchuk shared on Instagram how to prepare this versatile dish. She claims that you need to cook a lot at once, because everyone who tastes it will immediately ask for more.
Ingredients:
- Beetroot - 3 kg
- Onion - 1 kg
- Oil - 200 ml
- Salt - 20 gr
- Sugar - 150 gr
- Black pepper - 1 tsp.
- Paprika - 1 tsp.
- Vinegar 9% - 100 ml
The method of preparation:
1. Fry the onion in a frying pan with vegetable oil until golden brown.
2. Boil the beets until tender and grate them on a Korean carrot grater.
3. When the onion is fried, add all the ingredients except the vinegar.
4. Stir well and leave to simmer for 15 minutes.
5. Add vinegar and cook for another 5 minutes.
6. Put the salad in sterilized jars, close the lids and leave to cool.
