Basic pita bread pie: no need to knead the dough
For such a pie, you don't need to knead the dough for a long time, because it is based on ordinary pita bread. The ingredient is simply torn by hand or chopped. The dish is very budget-friendly and bakes quickly.
The idea of making a torn pita bread pie was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yuliia Simonchuk (cook_julija_simonchuk).
Ingredients:
- pita bread – 230 g
- milk – 250 ml
- eggs – 4 pcs
- cheese – 150 g
- Suluguni or other cheese – 150 g
- salt, pepper – to taste
- vegetable oil – 4 tbsp
- dill, green onions – a bunch
Method of preparation:
1. Beat eggs with milk and oil, add chopped herbs, grated cheese, and torn pita bread.
2. Mix everything and put it into the greased mold.
3. Tamp lightly and bake at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes until set.
4. It is delicious warm and cold.
