Store-bought pate is usually pasty and sealed in glass jars. Therefore, you cannot know for sure the quality of such a product. But this dish can be prepared at home in a matter of minutes with absolutely simple ingredients.

An elementary idea for making fish pate was shared by express_kuxnya. It was published on the Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • sprats - 150 g
  • boiled carrots
  • chicken egg - 2 pcs
  • salt to taste
  • ground black pepper

Method of preparation:

1. Peel the carrots, cut them into 4 pieces.

2. Boil the eggs.

3. Together with the sprats, put them in a blender and chop a little.

4. Add spices, and make the consistency homogeneous.

5. Serve on pre-fried bread with a crispy crust.

If you prefer baked pate that can be cut into slices, you can use chicken liver. The idea of making a festive pate with cranberries was shared by recepty_przepisy. It was published on the Instagram page.

Method of preparation:

  • chicken liver - 450 g
  • chicken quarter - 1 pc
  • pork shoulder - 450 g
  • bacon or fresh barrel - 250 g
  • onions - 2 pcs
  • carrots - 1 pc
  • bay leaves - 3 pcs
  • black peppercorns
  • allspice
  • eggs - 3 pcs
  • breadcrumbs - 4 tbsp with a slide
  • salt
  • pepper
  • dried cranberries - 40-50 g

Method of preparation:

1. Soak the liver in water/milk for 2-3 hours.

2. Put the shoulder blade, quarter, liver, lard, onion, carrot, bay leaf, peppercorns, and allspice in a saucepan.

3. Cover with water and cook until tender for about 1 hour, cool.

4. Grind the meat, liver, bacon, onions, and carrots through a meat grinder 2 times.

5. Add the eggs, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper and mix.

6. At the end, add the cranberries, and put the mass into a parchment-covered mold, you can also use a disposable pate mold.

7. Put more dried berries and a few bay leaves on top, and brush the top with an egg if desired.

8. Bake at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

9. Cool the pate completely, it is better to leave it overnight.
