Basic baked eggplant spread: how to make a summer appetizer
You can make a delicious bread spread with seasonal eggplant. For this dish, you only need to bake the vegetables, so all the healthy ingredients are preserved. You just need to add spices and cream cheese to complete the flavor.
The idea of making homemade eggplant spread was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Inna Kliuchnyk (innakluchnik31). The ready-made appetizer is delicious on toasted bread.
Ingredients:
- eggplant - 1 kg.
- garlic - 3-5 cloves
- olive oil - 3 tbsp
- cream cheese - 250 g
- salt, pepper
- parsley - optional
Method of preparation:
1. Put the eggplant on a baking sheet.
2. Put in an oven preheated to 250 degrees.
3. Turn over during baking.
4. Put the hot eggplants right out of the oven into a bag. Leave for about 20 minutes.
5. Then peel it off.
6. Add 3-4 cloves of garlic, salt and ground black pepper to the eggplant.
7. Mash everything with a fork, adding three tablespoons of olive oil.
8. Add the cream cheese.
9. Mix everything well.
10. Spread on toast.
