Banana upside-down peppercorn tart: an unusual recipe from Gordon Ramsay
Everyone knows French pies, and many have even cooked them – tart Taten, with a very fascinating history and many recipes, among which everyone will definitely find something to their liking. It's worth noting that the dish is even easier to prepare than the usual pies.
Culinary expert Gordon Ramsay shared a recipe for a delicious Taten tart with bananas on his YouTube channel, which you can prepare in 45 minutes.
Ingredients:
- Bananas - 4 pcs.
- Puff pastry - 1 pc.
- Black peppercorns - 1 tsp.
- Pink pepper - 1 tsp.
- Vanilla - 1 stalk
- Butter - 100 g
- Sugar - 100 g
Method of preparation:
1. Mash the peppercorns and vanilla in a mortar and pestle.
2. Make the caramel: take a deep frying pan, put cold butter with your hands, sprinkle it with a mixture of peppers, and add vanilla.
3. Cut the bananas into large and, most importantly, equal pieces, put them in the butter, and sprinkle with a little spice.
4. Take the finished dough and make a circle out of it, cut it with a knife, quickly transfer it to the bananas, and be sure to roll it up at the edges.
5. Make sure to make three cuts in the dough so that it is well baked.
6. Put the pan on the fire to form caramel.
7. When the caramel becomes dark, put the pan with the dish in the oven for 20 minutes at 200 degrees.
8. Remove the cake from the oven and immediately turn it hot onto a serving plate.
You can serve the cake with a scoop of ice cream, it will be delicious.
