If you really want homemade pastries, this cake will be the perfect option. The ingredients are absolutely simple and inexpensive, and the cooking process will take very little time. The dessert is based on crispy dough, delicate banana filling and sweet chocolate fondant: a great combination for family tea drinking.

How to make delicious banana pie

Ingredients for the dough:

  • flour - 250 g
  • salt - 1/3 tsp salt
  • cold butter - 150 g
  • sugar - 60 g
  • eggs - 1 pc
  • 20% sour cream - 1 tbsp
Preparing dough

The method of making dough:

1. Cut the butter into pieces into the chilled flour and beat with a blender until fine crumbs.

2. Add the cold egg and sour cream.

3. Quickly knead the dough: just gather everything into one ball.

4. Place the ball in cling film and roll it into a layer with a rolling pin.

5. Put the dough in the refrigerator for an hour.

6. Take out, flour a work surface and roll out a 0.5 cm thick layer.

7. Put the dough into a greased and floured pie mold and trim the edges with a knife.

8. Place the mold in the freezer for 30 minutes.

Ingredients for the banana filling:

  • mashed banana - 100 g (beat a small banana with a blender and add 1 tbsp of lemon juice)
  • cream cheese - 180 g
  • starch - 20 g
  • eggs - 2 pcs + 1 yolk
  • powder - 70 g
  • vanilla sugar - 1 sachet
  • dye - optional

All ingredients should be at room temperature

Baking the base

Method of preparation:

1. Combine all ingredients in a separate container.

2. Mix with a whisk until smooth.

3. Take out the mold, pour the mass over most of the mold and bake at 170 degrees for 45-50 minutes.

4. The cake rises well, but when cooled, it falls slightly to the level of the base.

5. Remove from the mold only after it has cooled completely.

What to make with bananas

Ingredients for chocolate fondant:

  • 30% cream from - 50 ml
  • dark chocolate - 80 g

Method of preparation:

1. Heat the cream to a boil but do not boil. Remove from heat and add the chocolate.

2. Stir with a whisk until smooth.


3. As soon as the glaze is warm, spread it on the cooled cake. Smooth out with a knife or spatula.

4. Leave in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
