Baked meat with prunes and quince: it turns out to be very juicy and soft
To make baked meat juicy, you need to combine it with the right ingredients. Fruit is perfect for this. They will give off their pleasant sweet flavor and make the texture soft.
The idea of cooking meat with quince and prunes was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname breakfast_ideaa.
Ingredients:
- turkey or other meat – 500 g
- prunes – 100 g
- quince or sour apple – 1-2 pcs.
- carrot – 1 pc.
- onion – 1 pc.
- olive oil – 2 tbsp.
- ginger powder – 0.5 tsp.
- apple juice – 125 ml. or juice from half a lemon.
- spices, salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the meat into cubes. Sprinkle with salt and ginger, sprinkle with your favorite spices, pour apple or lemon juice, and marinate for about an hour.
2. Cut out the center of the quince. Cut into slices.
3. Peel and chop the carrots. Chop the onion.
4. Put the meat in a frying pan and fry a little, transfer to a container, add quince, carrots, onions, a few cloves of garlic (whole), prunes, salt, and pepper to taste.
5. Pour the marinade from the meat or add a little water (100-150 g).
6. Cover with a lid or foil and put in the oven at 180 degrees until tender (about 35-45 minutes). At the end of cooking, you can remove the foil to form a ruddy crust.
