Bagels baked with minced meat and cheese: a hearty and budget appetizer
Plain wheat bagels are a great base for a hearty and simple appetizer. All you need to do is choose lean minced meat to make the dish delicious. And it should be cooked in the oven for no more than twenty minutes.
The idea of baked bagels with minced meat was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Iryna (vlasenko_22).
Ingredients:
- bagels (unsweetened, 10-15 pieces)
- milk - 1 cup
- minced meat - 200 g
- onions - 1 pc
- eggs - 1 pc
- hard cheese - 50 g
- salt
- ground black pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Put the bagels in a deep container and pour warm milk over (not hot).
2. Leave them for about 10-15 minutes. The bagels should become softer.
3. Turn the bagels over from time to time.
4. Place them on paper towels to drain all the liquid.
5. Chop the onion. Add it to the minced meat.
6. Beat one chicken egg into the minced meat. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix the minced meat well.
7. Bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
