In addition to desserts, baked goods, and jams, apricots can be deliciously prepared in syrup. This method allows you to preserve the shape and flavor of the fruit: apricots remain moderately hard, just as juicy and flavorful.
Food blogger Tatiana (mama_na_kykhne) shared a recipe for apricots in syrup on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- apricots
- sugar
- citric acid
Method of preparation:
1. Wash and pit the apricots. Put the fruit halves in a jar.
2. Prepare a syrup based on water and sugar.
3. Add citric acid to the syrup (1/3 tsp of acid is needed for 3 liters of syrup).
4. Pour the syrup over the apricots.
5. Sterilize the jars with apricots for 5 minutes after boiling, then close them hermetically.
