Apricot jam with an unusual flavor: only one ingredient to add
Apricot jam can be made even tastier by adding an orange to spice it up. It will make the jam even more refined.
A simple recipe for apricot jam for the winter was shared on the yimo_in_ukraine Instagram page. This jam can be stored in a cold place for a long time and then enjoyed when the apricot season is over.
Ingredients:
- Apricot – 1.5 kg
- Sugar – 750 g (you can use less, but then add 1/3 tsp of citric acid or more sugar if you are a fan of sugary sweetness)
- Large orange – 1 pc
Method of preparation:
1. Twist the clean apricots and a large orange with the skin through a meat grinder. Add sugar.
2. Cook over low heat after boiling for 30 minutes, stirring constantly. If you decide to reduce the amount of sugar in the recipe, add 1/3 tsp of citric acid.
3. Pour into sterilized jars and roll up the lid.
