Ingredients for the dough:

  • Eggs - 2 pcs.
  • Sour cream - 2 tbsp
  • Butter - 150 g
  • Flour - 350 g
  • Vanilla sugar - 10 g
  • Sugar - 70 g
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Baking powder - 10 g

For the filling:

  • Apples - 1 kg
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp.
  • Butter - 50 g
  • Cinnamon - 1/3 tsp

Method of preparation:

  1. Peel and seed the apples, grate on a coarse grater, and add sugar, cinnamon, and butter. Cook over moderate heat for 20-30 minutes until soft.
  2. To make the dough, beat eggs with sugar, a pinch of salt, and vanilla sugar, and add sour cream and soft butter. Mix the flour with baking powder. Gradually add the mixture and knead the dough.
  3. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts. Roll out each one on parchment or a floured mat, adding flour as needed. Bake at 200 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
  4. Cut the finished cakes in half and carefully trim the edges.
  5. Brush the cooled cakes with slightly warm or completely cooled apple paste. Make crumbs from the scraps and sprinkle the cake on top. Leave to soak for at least 2 hours.

Serve with milk, tea, or coffee.

  1. Wash the apples and core them. Cut them into cubes and put them in a frying pan.
  2. Add butter, sprinkle with sugar, and a pinch of salt. Mix with the breadcrumbs and mix well.
  3. Roll out the dough, and put apples and hard cheese in layers.
  4. Seal the edges of the dough or cover with another layer of dough. Brush the surface with egg yolk.
  5. Bake at 180 degrees until golden brown.
