Recipe for an appetizer cake with mushrooms

This is an ideal option for a hearty snack that will be enough for the whole family. It is based on ordinary crackers, so there is no need to knead the dough. The traditional combination of chicken and mushrooms will be a win-win and is suitable for both a casual lunch and a festive table.

The idea for making a snack cake from crackers

Ingredients:

  • crackers (creamy or salted) – 1 package
  • mushrooms – 200 g
  • onions – 200 g
  • smoked chicken – 150 g
  • walnuts – 30 g
Putting out the filling
  • butter – 2 tbsp
  • oil – 2 tbsp
  • salt, pepper – to taste
  • cream cheese – 300 g
  • cream 33% – 50 g
A layer of crackers

Method of preparation:

1. Fry the onion in a mixture of oil and butter.

2. Add finely chopped mushrooms (leave some mushrooms for garnishing).

3. Add salt and pepper and fry until tender.

4. Cut the smoked chicken into small pieces.

5. For the cream, mix the cream and cheese until smooth, if desired, put it in a pastry bag.

6. Put the crackers on a wide plate or in a mold and form the cake in the following order:

Smearing the cake with cream
  • mushroom filling
  • crackers
  • cream
  • chicken
  • walnuts (a little cream on top)
  • crackers

7. Continue until you run out of ingredients.

8. Cover with cling film and refrigerate overnight.

9. Grease the sides with cream, and put the fried mushrooms.

10. Add herbs if desired.
