Alternative to "Dressed herring": spectacular "Count" salad with beets and chicken
If you are looking for a replacement for Dressed herring, the spectacular Countsalad will be a great alternative. The dish is based on boiled vegetables, eggs and chicken fillet. Dress the salad with sour cream and mayonnaise, and add prunes and nuts for originality.
Food blogger Alex Mil with the nickname mil_alexx shared a recipe for the Count salad with boiled vegetables, eggs, and chicken fillet on his Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- boiled potatoes - 2 pcs.
- boiled beets - 2 pcs
- boiled eggs - 3 pcs
- canned peas - 200 g
- nuts - 40 g
- prunes - 40 g
- chicken fillet - 180 g
- salt, pepper
- mayonnaise + sour cream - 50 g each
- pickled onions - 70 g
Method of preparation:
1. First, prepare the ingredients - boil the beets, potatoes, chicken and eggs. Then grate the ingredients.
2. Chop the onion and marinate in hot water with vinegar and sugar for 15-20 minutes.
3. Form the salad. Lubricate the bottom of the dish with sauce and put the ingredients in layers: potatoes, sauce, peas, fillet, onions, sauce, salt and pepper, eggs, prunes and nuts, beets, sauce.
4. Put in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
