If you want to make a tasty and flavorful treat for tea, choose light pie recipes based on simple shortcrust pastry. For the filling, you can use: fruits, pumpkin, nuts, jams, cottage cheese, berries, as well as salty ones - cabbage, seafood, vegetables, cheeses, fish, meat.

For the filling:

  • butter - 2 tbsp.
  • apples - 6-8 pcs.

  • sugar - 2 tbsp. 
  • rum - 1 tbsp. 
  • salt - 1/4 tsp.

For the filling:

  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • yolks - 2 pcs.

  • heavy cream - 200 ml
  • sugar - 100 g
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp.
  • vanilla sugar - 1 tsp.

For the almond crumble:

  • sliced almonds - 100-150 g

  • sugar - 50 g
  • softened butter - 2 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Make shortbread dough and put it in a mold (roll it out or just press it with your fingers, prick it with a fork). Bake for 10 minutes.

2. For the filling: melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped apples and sugar, and sauté until the apples are soft, about 10 minutes. Add rum and salt. Put the cooked apples on the baked dough.

3. Filling: beat eggs, yolks, cream, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg. Pour the mixture over the apples.

4. Bake the cake until the custard is barely set in the center of the cake, about 30 minutes.

5. For the almond filling: mix the almonds, sugar, softened butter and a pinch of salt in a bowl.

6. Take the cake out of the oven and sprinkle with almond crumbs. Cover the pie with foil if the edge of the crust is too brown.

7. Return the cake to the oven and bake until the cream is set and for another 15 minutes.

8. Cool the cake completely before serving and garnish with berries!
