The usual meat, fish, and vegetables can be made much tastier with batter. The most versatile is the egg batter. It is budget, affordable, and takes only 1 minute to prepare.
The recipe for a universal egg batter for meat, fish, and vegetables was published in one of the culinary channels "Luda Easy Cook Ukrainian Chef" on YouTube.
Ingredients:
- eggs – 2 pcs.
- water – 140 ml
- salt – 1\2 tsp
- baking powder – 3 g
- flour – 100 g
- starch – 50 g
- spices
Method of preparation:
1. Beat eggs with water until smooth.
2. Add salt and spices. Mix well.
3. Add flour, starch and baking powder. Stir until smooth.
A few tips:
- Batter is best prepared with plain or mineral water. Carbonated water makes the batter fluffy.
- To make the batter fluffy, add baking powder.
- To ensure that the batter holds its shape well, leave it to stand for 5-10 minutes after cooking.
