A pie with a filling instead of bread: how to make a snack
A pie filling is a great alternative to pies, cakes, and even bread. It can be made with different fillings - salty and sweet, as well as from any dough.
Food blogger Oksana Pashko shared a recipe for a spinach, egg, and green onion pie on her YouTube channel(Cooking with Oksana Pashko).
Ingredients:
Dough:
- kefir - 400 ml
- flour - 280 g
- eggs - 2 pcs
- butter - 100 g
- sugar - 1 tbsp
- baking powder - 1.5 tsp.
- salt - 1/2 tsp.
The filling:
- fresh spinach - 300 g
- boiled eggs - 4 pcs
- green onions - 100 g
- mustard in grains - 2 tsp.
- salt
Method of preparation:
1. First you need to prepare the filling. To do this, chop the spinach, and green onions, boil and cut the eggs into cubes.
2. Heat a piece of butter in a frying pan. Add spinach and onions. Cook over low heat until the mass decreases in volume.
3. Add eggs, salt and mustard. Mix well. The filling is ready.
4. To prepare the dough, beat the eggs with salt and sugar with a mixer until smooth.
5. Add kefir and mix.
6. Add soft butter, and mix with a mixer.
7. Gradually add flour and baking powder. Mix until smooth.
8. Grease a baking dish with butter and lightly sprinkle with flour. Pour half of the dough, put the filling, and pour the rest of the dough. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the cake.
9. Bake at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes. It's ready!
