But if you want to treat yourself to not just cooling but also tasty drinks, the best options are, for example, homemade mojitos, lemonades, iced coffee, and tea, which are very easy to prepare with minimal ingredients.

The FoodOboz editorial team has prepared 4 delicious iced tea recipes for you that will save you from the summer heat.

1. Greentea with strawberries and lemon

Tea with lime and strawberries

Ingredients:

  • strawberries – 1 cup
  • sugar – 30 g
  • water – 40 g
  • lemon – 1 pc
  • mineral water or green tea – 4 cups
  • mint – 1 sprig

Method of preparation:

  1. Wash the strawberries, cut into 4 pieces.
  2. Grate the lemon zest.
  3. In a saucepan, mix strawberries, sugar, lemon zest, and juice – cook over low heat for 25 minutes.
  4. Afterward, strain through a fine sieve or cheesecloth so that only the juice remains, and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  5. Brew green tea, cool it down, and add juice, ice, and mint to each cup, you can drink it immediately.

2. Watermelon-basil tea

Ingredients:

  • watermelon – 200 g
  • fresh basil – 1 bunch
  • sugar – 2 tbsp
  • water – 800 ml
  • tea – 8 bags
  • lemon – 1 pc
  • ice – 20 cubes

Method of preparation:

  1. Brew tea and leave to cool.
  2. Cut the watermelon into small cubes, chop the basil, add sugar, and lemon juice, mix everything, and add ice, you can drink the drink immediately.

3. Ginger-lime tea

Ingredients:

  • ginger – medium slice
  • lime – 1 pc
  • cranberry juice – 0.5 ml
  • sugar – 1 cup
  • water – 900 ml
  • black tea – 8 bags
  • ice – 20 cubes

Method of preparation:

  1. Cut the ginger into small pieces and grate the lime zest.
  2. Combine water, sugar, ginger, and zest in a saucepan and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
  3. Then strain the hot ginger mixture through a sieve.
  4. Brew the tea and cool it to room temperature, pour it into a convenient container, and refrigerate.
  5. Add the ginger mixture and cranberry juice, as well as ice, to the chilled tea. The drink can be served immediately.

4. Lemon-blueberry tea with ginger

Tea with blueberries, lemon, and ginger

Ingredients:

  • lemon – 2 pcs
  • frozen blueberries – 500 g
  • water – 4 cups
  • sugar – 200 g
  • ice – 20 cubes
  • ginger – a piece

Method of preparation:

  1. Put the blueberries in a saucepan, add the juice of 2 lemons, sugar, and bring to a boil.
  2. Rub the mixture well through a sieve and bring to a boil again, then cool.
  3. Grate the ginger on a fine grater or cut it into small cubes, add to cups of water, add blueberry jam and ice, and you can immediately drink a delicious, cold drink.
