The season of the most delicious and healthy berry, strawberries, has begun in Ukraine. You can cook many interesting dishes and desserts from it, make jam, or just eat it without anything.

1. Refreshing mint salad with chicken and strawberries

Salad with fillet and strawberries


  • chicken or turkey fillet - 250 g
  • fresh strawberries - 225 g
  • green onions - 50 g
  • almonds - 50
  • Dijon mustard - 2 tbsp. l. (About 1 tbsp.) Mayonnaise
  • yogurt (mayonnaise) - 100 g
  • lemon zest - 30 g
  • mint - 30 g
  • poppy seeds - 15 g
  • salt, pepper - to taste

Method of preparation:

  1. Boil or grill the meat, cut it into small pieces, and put it in a bowl.
  2. Chop strawberries, and onions, chop almonds, and add to the meat.
  3. For the sauce: mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, mint, poppy seeds, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, mix well and add to the main ingredients. Mix well and serve.

2. Strawberry and basil marzipan

  • Green basil - 1 bunch
  • Strawberries - 30 g
  • Lemon juice - 25 ml
  • Sugar syrup - 25 ml
  • Vodka - 50 ml

Method of preparation:

  1. Put 5-6 leaves of basil and strawberries in a shaker, and crush everything thoroughly.
  2. Add sugar, syrup, and lemon juice, and water, mix well.
  3. You can add ice if you have it, and at the end, you need to rub the edges of the glass with basil leaves, this will give the drink a special flavor.

3. Strawberry ice cream

Strawberry and cream ice cream


  • strawberries - 2 tbsp.
  • honey - 2 tbsp
  • sugar - 50 g
  • cream - 1 tbsp.
  • fat cream - 50 g
  • lemon juice - 1 tsp.
  • vanilla - 10 g

Method of preparation:

  1. Wash the strawberries well and cut them into cubes, add sugar, honey, and lemon juice, and leave for 10-15 minutes to let the strawberries juice.
  2. Whip the cream well to stable peaks and add to the strawberries, as well as fatty non-whipped cream, mix everything well.
  3. Transfer the finished mixture to portioned molds or one large dish and refrigerate for 2-4 hours.
