However, this flower is quite tolerant, so it can grow in partial shade. The main thing is that it should be protected from rain, which can damage the delicate flowers.

Petunias are undemanding to soil. Even a universal substrate for balcony flowers is suitable for them. However, if you use purchased peat soil, you should mix it with sand. Also, remember that petunias like slightly acidic soil.

How to care for petunias

Petunias do not require too much care. It is quite resistant to drought, but if you want to get abundant flowering, you should water it regularly and abundantly. In a particularly hot and sunny period, it can even be daily or 2 times a day.

This plant, like any other, needs fertilization. Therefore, once every 2 weeks, it is worth applying fertilizers for flowering plants or special ones for petunias.

As the flower grows, pinch its shoots and remove faded inflorescences.
