A fertile variety

Experts advise to pay attention to a variety that is characterized by comparative unpretentiousness in care and high-quality fertility. "Diamond" attracts the attention of farmers primarily because of its yield and taste.

The bushes grow 50-60 cm in height, while holding a large number of fruits. Vegetables are oval-cylindrical in shape and dark purple in color with an elastic surface.

The taste is rich, mild, and goes well with many side dishes, from salads to hot dishes. This variety is also used for canning.

How to grow eggplants

The Diamond variety is quite easy to grow because it is highly immune to pests and fungal diseases. It is a mid-season crop with a growing season of 110-130 days. Fruits are usually 14-18 cm long and 6-8 cm in diameter. The center is greenish-white, without bitterness.

Eggplants are heat-, light- and moisture-loving crops. They should be grown through seedlings and planted in the garden in 60-70 days.

Seeds will begin to germinate at a temperature of at least +15°C, while the optimal temperature for growth and development is +25-30°C.

Please note: if the air temperature drops to +12°C, the growth of eggplants slows down significantly, and at 0°C, the plants die.

• Seeding rate: 0.2-0.3 g per 1 square meter.
• Seeding depth: 0.5 cm.
• Row spacing: 70 cm.
