Growing any crop has its own specifics at each stage of growth. However, what remains the same is fertilization.

To get juicy and fleshy fruits, it is important not only to properly care for the plants, but also to prepare the soil. OBOZ.UA says that experienced gardeners put fertilizer in the hole before planting tomatoes to get a successful harvest.

In fact, it's worth fertilizing the soil before planting even if you've done comprehensive land preparation before. Additional nutrients will help tomato seedlings develop quickly and properly.

Onion husks

Onion peels can be placed in the holes just before planting tomatoes. This will accelerate plant growth and increase their resistance to various diseases.

In addition, the husks contain essential oils that will repel some pests.

Bird droppings

This method of fertilization is considered the most worthy among gardeners, but it is important to follow some rules with it.

Do not put the droppings in the hole, as well as the husk, because it can damage the roots.

You need to dilute it in water in a ratio of 1:20 and pour two glasses of the solution over each hole. 7 days after that, you can plant tomato seedlings there.

Fitosporin-M

In addition to organic fertilizers, you can also use mineral fertilizers. Phytosporin-M, like manure, should be applied to the soil 7 days before planting tomatoes.

Dilute 5 grams of the preparation in a bucket of water and pour this solution over the place where you plan to plant the plants.

Superphosphate

Superphosphate is a phosphate fertilizer that improves flowering and fruiting. It is considered a classic option for fertilizing the soil before planting tomatoes. For one hole, 20 grams of fertilizer will be enough.
