First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska visited the Vatican, where she had an audience with Pope Francis. The Ukrainian woman personally met with the bishop on November 20, World Children's Day and the 1001st day of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

As President Zelenskyy's wife noted on her Instagram page, since February 24, 2022, Russian invaders have killed 592 Ukrainian children. The public figure thanked His Holiness for his prayers for peace in Ukraine.

To talk to Pope Francis, she wore a suit by the Ukrainian brand ELENAREVA and a hat by designer Ruslan Baginskiy, which became a mandatory element of the look according to Vatican protocol.

The First Lady also spoke about the traditional moment of the audience, which is the exchange of gifts. Olena Zelenska presented the pontiff with a handmade St. Nicholas plate.
