The need to remove makeup with improvised products can arise for various reasons. For example, you simply don't have the right product available, or you want to use all-natural ones.

Whatever the reason, makeup artists say that many natural oils and more can help cleanse the face. OBOZ.UA tells you about the most effective and useful products.

Olive oil

One of the best vegetable fats for cooking is also an excellent cosmetic product. Olive oil contains vitamins A, B, E, D, and K, has moisturizing properties and softens the skin. In addition, the product is so mild in its effect that it can be used to remove makeup even from the eyes.

To use olive oil, moisten a cotton pad with a little water and then apply a few drops of the product. Dab the pad over your eyelids to remove all makeup, including mascara.

Coconut oil

This product is the basis of many cosmetic products and is considered one of the most valuable natural ingredients. Coconut oil dissolves dirt and makeup residue, removing it without leaving a trace.

However, keep in mind that this product is better suited for people with dry skin, not oily or acne-prone one. In addition, coconut oil should be washed off with water after use.

Jojoba oil

When it comes to valuable cosmetic oils, jojoba is a winner. As a makeup remover, it is very effective because it not only dissolves products with any formula but also completely removes other impurities without affecting the skin's natural oil balance.

Jojoba oil does not have a comedogenic effect, so it is suitable even for sensitive skin. After application, you can leave it on if you have used only a small amount of the product. If you feel it on your face, you can remove the excess with a paper towel.

Oil and baking soda

If you're using a very long-lasting silicone-based foundation, you may not be able to use oil alone to completely wash it off. So just add a pinch of baking soda to the oil base. It will act as a mild abrasive that will remove the silicone particles. But do not use this mixture in the eye area. You'll need to wash off any residue with water.

Micellar water

If you have micellar water at hand, use it to remove makeup from your skin. The formula of the product is oil dissolved in small bubbles in water. Apply it to your face, let it work, and then wipe off the makeup. Finally, wash your face with water.

Aloe vera

The juice of this plant has a soothing effect on the skin and does not irritate even very sensitive faces. The power of the product is enough to remove light, non-waterproof makeup. Apply a small amount of aloe vera gel to a cotton pad or your fingertips and gently massage your face to remove makeup. Finally, wash your face with water.

Witch hazel

Witch hazel is a rather astringent remedy, so it is better suited for oily skin. Apply it to your face, massage it in with your fingers, and wipe off the residue with a tissue. Afterward, wash your face with water. If you have normal to dry skin, you will need a moisturizing serum or cream after this makeup treatment.

Oatmeal, water, and honey

This mixture will be effective even against very persistent cosmetics. In fact, it is a delicate scrub that exfoliates the skin, and it can be used for this purpose. To make the product, mix a quarter cup of warm water with the same volume of oatmeal, then add a spoonful of honey and mix everything until it becomes creamy. Apply the resulting substance as a mask and leave it on for 10 minutes. When you start to wash it off, make gentle massage movements to remove the remnants of makeup.
